Programs for Adults at Burnt Store Presbyterian Church
Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School is designed for individuals who wish to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith and the Bible, as well as to learn how to apply these teachings to their everyday lives. The class meets weekly on Sundays from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Holy Conversations
Holy Conversations offers a casual gathering led by a dedicated leader, where adults engage in discussions about faith and reflect on the pastor’s message as it relates to life events. This open class has no set curriculum, allowing participants to join as their schedules permit. Holy Conversations meets weekly on Sundays from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. in the Boardroom off Stewart Hall.
Men’s Bible Study
Men’s Bible Study meets weekly in Stewart Hall on Wednesdays at 8:00 a.m. for food and fellowship, followed by a Bible study session at 9:00 a.m. led by Pastor Jaco. The study covers various topics relevant to men of faith.
Women’s Bible Study
Women’s Bible Study gathers weekly in Stewart Hall on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The group explores studies from both the Old and New Testaments, and provides an opportunity for women to enjoy coffee, snacks, and meaningful fellowship.
Life Groups
Life Groups consist of small gatherings of 8 to 10 people from the church who meet weekly to discuss topics of faith. These groups foster wonderful friendships while encouraging members to grow together in their faith. Meeting days, times, and locations vary; please refer to the church calendar for current group schedules.
Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women is a welcoming community open to all women in our church—no membership needed. Join us for fellowship, friendship, Bible Study and mission opportunities at any time. Find more information here about Presbyterian Women.
Programs for Children & Youth
Children’s Church
Children’s Church is led by an adult and an aide who guide children ages 5 to 12 in learning about the Bible, its stories, and its messages. The program includes games, snacks, and fun activities. Children’s Church meets from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sundays during the second service.
BSPC Kidz
BSPC Kidz is the church’s program for children and youth. It includes two groups: TruthSeekers (ages 5–12) and God’s Creation (ages 12–16). Both groups meet separately once a month on Sundays from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in Stewart Hall. Lessons are tailored to each age group, focusing on Bible and faith topics, and always include fun and snacks. Go to our Events page and/or the Church Calendar for specific times.
Nursery
NURSERY care is available for infants and small children (up to age 4) during both Sunday services. Two carefully vetted church personnel provide a safe, loving environment where children can relax and play while parents worship. There is also a “children’s room” within the sanctuary, allowing parents to stay with their children while watching and hearing the worship service. Alternatively, children are welcome to remain with their parents in the sanctuary.
